English Kindergarten
Teaching English at Native Level

Our college has 3 kindergarten classrooms and each class is bilingual, one in preschool and one in English.

At Alanya American Culture College, English is not taught as a lesson, but in the natural flow of life. In this way, our students speak English like their mother tongue.

Education is provided with a maximum of 15 students in classrooms equipped with Montessori tools. Our school has mind games, individual music rooms, visual arts, information technologies, science workshops, and many activity rooms and games created in accordance with learning styles.

Our kindergarten has an indoor sports hall, science classroom, playground, ballet and modern dance hall and playground.

The activities in the kindergarten program are organized according to the developmental level, age and knowledge of the children, and opportunities are given to develop their skills.

Project work creates an environment where children are interested in learning and research, and where they can establish cause and effect relationships.

In the main program, Turkish Language Activities, Reading and Writing Preparation Activities, Dramas, Science and Nature Activities, and Art Activities are interrelated and presented in a unified manner.

Our GEMS and Montessori programs, which set high standards for students, direct them away from rote learning and towards a learning based on inquiry and self-discovery.

In the program, students are provided with a learning and play environment in which they can actively participate in order to acquire aesthetic tastes, environmental sensitivity and problem-solving behaviors in human relations in line with their interests and skills.

Education System - Bilingual Education
Bilingual Education can be briefly defined as bilingual education. Today, in many parts of the world, many children grow up using two languages at the same time. We call people who use two languages in their daily lives “bilingual” bilingual. At American Culture Colleges, instead of teaching our children by saying “Now we will teach you English”, English is presented as a sharing process in the natural flow of life.

At American Culture Colleges, there are 2 teachers in each class in kindergarten and primary school, one of whom is an English teacher and the other a classroom teacher. In our bilingual schools, our students speak English like their mother tongue until the end of primary school.

 

European Language Portfolio
The European Language Portfolio and American Culture Colleges;

With the decisions taken by the Council of Europe, there was a need for a common standard in foreign language teaching as well as standardization in many subjects. The European Language Portfolio is a document in which people who learn or have learned a language at school or out of school can record and express all of their language learning experiences and cultural experiences.

It is an assessment system based on the Common European Framework for European Languages. “Learner autonomy” and “self-assessment” are the educational concepts on which this portfolio is based.

Sections of the European Language Passport

Language Passport : It contains some personal information about the languages you speak and their levels, as well as language level indicators developed by the Council of Europe's Department of Modern Languages.

Foreign Language Curriculum Vitae : Self-awareness (learning to learn), cross-cultural experiences and “can do” statements (self-assessment).

File : Documents such as certificates, diplomas, project samples and articles.
